Tannirbhavi Tree Park is set up in an area of 15 hectares near Tannirbhavi Beach. The beach receives more people on weekends with fewer people on weekdays. But, the crowd is always far less than that at Panambur, making Tannirbavi much serene and peaceful. Measures have been taken to make the beach much safer than it was earlier, like an isolated place.

Ronston, retired bank official, who stays near the beach says, “The name Tannirbhavi comes from Kannada word Thaneerubavi which means cold water. In the past few years, this beach has become very popular. District administration has also tried to upgrade facilities here, but still much should be done. I think even people have a role in this. I see youngsters coming and drinking here. They throw bottles. Wastes are thrown around. Strict action should be taken against these.”
